Md. Khalilur Rahman appointed LGED Chief Engineer.

Additional Chief Engineer (Rural Infrastructure Development and Management) of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Md. Khalilur Rahman has been appointed as the Chief Engineer of LGED on 8 May 2019. He has taken charge on 9 May 2019.  Md. Khalilur Rahman is replacing former Chief Engineer Md. Abul Kalam Azad as he has retired from the government service on 9 May 2019. 

Md. Khalilur Rahman joined LGED in 1983 as an Assistant Engineer and served various positions including Upazila Engineer, Executive Engineer at field level and Project Director at LGED head quarters in 2007. Afterwards, he discharged responsibility as Superintending Engineer and promoted as Additional Chief Engineer in 2015. He is senior among all additional Chief Engineers in LGED.

Md. Khalilur Rahman completed Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1982 and earned Master's in Highway Management and Engineering from Birmingham University, UK in 2000. Apart from, he attended various seminars and workshops on project management, quality control, design and asset management at home and abroad. He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Bangladesh (IEB).  

Md. Khalilur Rahman wasborn in Gorshab village of Kapashiya Upazila under Gazipur district. He is blessed by three sons and one daughter.
