City Governance Project (CGP) (CGP)

Components

1. Governance Improvement and Capacity Development (GICD)


Governance improvement activities will be implemented following the ICGIAP which also includes capacity building  training and activities related to Administrative Reform Plan (ARP). Each CC is expected to take initiative with support from the Consultant team.





2. Urban infrastructure Development





Subcomponent2-1: Urban Roads (42       subcomponent 2-1: Urban Roads (420km)


Subcomponent 2-2: Drainage Facilities (196 km)


Subcomponent 2-3: Water Supply System (6 nos.)


Subcomponent 2-4: Bus Truck Terminal (2 nos.)


Subcomponent 2-5: Street Lights(11,650 nos.)


Subcomponent 2-6: School cum Cyclone Shelter (8nos)





3. Equipment Procurement


CGP will procure equipment for Project Coordination Office (PCO) and Project Implementation Unit (PIU) as follows:


Sub component 3-1:Construction & maintenance equipment


Sub component 3-2:Vehicle and Motor Cycle


Sub component 3-3:Survey Equipment



Sub component 3-4:Office Equipment





4. Consulting Services


There will be two teams of Consultants: Governance and Infrastructure Improvement (GII)and Benefit Monitoring and Evaluation (BME).


GII consultant support PIU and PCO in designing and implementing the sub projects,and additionally in preparing the future sub projects by reviewing the existing Master Plan and conducting the Feasibility Study.



BME consultant support PCO in monitoring and evaluating the outputs/performance of CC as well as the benefit of the Project.
