Deadline for submission of Bids: 11/04/2012 at 12:30 PM (Local time)
1. The Government of the
People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian
Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small
Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP) and it intends to apply part of
the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract named above.
2. The Local Government Engineering
Department (LGED) invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply of
Equipments as described in Packages for Local Government Engineering Department
(LGED).
3. National Competitive Bidding (NCB) will
be conducted in accordance with ADB’s
Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain
further information and inspect the Bidding Document from the Office of the
Project Director, Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project
(PSSWRSP), LGED at the address given below from 18/03/2012.
5. Bidders (Lead partner in case of Joint Venture)
must have successfully completed at least 2 contracts of same nature supply as
described in bidding documents mentioned
in above table (Package wise) within the last 3 years counting backwards
from the deadline of Bid submission
6. Bidders must have Liquid Assets and
Average Annual Supply Turnover (AAST) (Average of last 3 years) of certificated
payments mentioned in the above table (Package wise) respectively. Bidders must
submit three years Audit Reports (2008-2009, 2009-2010 & 2010-2011) with
Recent Bank Statement upto 10-04-2012.
7. Bidding Documents in the English
language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders on submission of a
written application to the address below and upon payment of nonrefundable fee
in BDT mentioned in the above table (Package wise).
8. Bids must be delivered to the address
below at or before 11-04-2012 at 12:30 PM (Local time). All Bids must be
accompanied by a Bid Security mentioned above in the form of an unconditional
and irrevocable Bank Guarantee/Bank Draft/Pay Order from a reputable scheduled bank
of Bangladesh in favour of the Project Director, PSSWRSP. Late bids will be
rejected. Bids will be opened on 11-04-2012 at 12:35 PM after the deadline in
presence of Bidder’s representative who chose to attend at the address below.
9. The
Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) will not be responsible for any
costs or expenses incurred by the Bidders in connection with the preparation or
delivery of Bids.
10.
Last Selling Date of Bidding Documents: 10-04-2012 at 05:00 PM (Local time). Address
of Selling & Receiving of Bids is given below.
11. The
Purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, and to annul the Bidding
process and reject all Bids at any time prior to Contract Award, without
thereby incurring any liability to the Bidders.
