1. The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Second Chittagong Hill Tracts Rural Development Project: (CHTRDP-II), ADB Loan no. 2763-BAN (SF)

2. The Local Government Engineering Department, Implementing Agency for the project (“the Purchaser”), invites eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for supply of following Goods.

Bidders may submit the bid for only one package or both the packages.

3. International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document during normal office hours (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) on all working days up to 26 February 2013 from the office of the Project Director at the address given below.

5. Bidding Documents in the English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders on submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of nonrefundable fees for the package as mentioned above in cash, only during normal office hours (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) on all working days till 26 February 2013. .

Request for delivery by sending a written application to Local Government Engineering Department(LGED) at the address indicate below. The application must include a Bankers Cheque USD 100.00(one hundred USD only) for Supply of Pay Loader and USD 75.00(seventy five USD only) for Supply of Vibratory Road Roller for overseas delivery. The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids must be submitted to the address below on or before the deadline for submission of bids on 27 February 2013 at 2.00 p.m.(Local Time). All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security as specified in the bidding document. Late submission of bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened at the address below on 27 February 2013 at 2:15 p.m. (Local Time) after the submission deadline in presence of bidder’s representative who chose to remain present.

7. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by the bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.

8. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be available at the Web Sites: www.lged.gov.bd www.cptu.gov.bd www.adb.org.

9. The Purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all Bids at any time prior to Contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the Bidders.
