The Local
Government Engineering Department has been allocated
public funds from the Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh (GOB)
towards the cost of the Third Primary Education
Development Program (PEDP-3), and intends to apply
part of the proceeds of these funds to payments under the contract for the
provision of consultancy services as stated below.
The services include and the qualification and
experience required for the assignment are as follows:

Project Management Consultant |

Masters Degree in
Engineering or equivalent from any recognized university/institution. |
The candidate must have 15 years experience in construction project
management activities including five years experience of foreign assisted
projects. Adequate knowledge about Project Implementation Management is
necessary. |

Structural Design Engineer |
01 |
B. Sc in Civil Engineering
or equivalent degree from any recognized university/institution. |
The candidate must have minimum 12 years experience in Structural Design works of Civil
Engineering structure with particular experience of Building. |

3. |
Junior Supervision Engineer |
01 |
B. Sc in Civil Engineering
or equivalent or Diploma in Civil Engineering from any recognized
university/institution. |
The candidate must have 5 years experience for B.Sc Engineering & 10
years for Diploma in Civil Engineering holder in Building construction
Supervision. |
The Additional Chief
Engineer (Implementation), LGED now invites application from the eligible Applicants
for the positions. Applicants are
invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform
the services (complete CV with other details as required in the TOR).
A Consultant will be selected using the selection of
individual consultant sub-method in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules 2008. It is expected that the services will be
commenced from 1st July’2016 at LGED Bhaban (Level-8), Agargaon, Dhaka-1207 and shall be completed on 30 June’2017.
Interested consultants are required to submit their Application
in accordance with the standard Application Forms which may be obtained from
the office of the undersigned during normal office hours or available in the website: www.lged.gov.bd.
Application shall
be submitted by 6th June’2016
within 3.00 pm, in sealed envelope delivered to Additional Chief Engineer
(Implementation), LGED and be clearly marked “Request for Application for Selection of "Project Management
Consultant/ Structural Design Engineer/ Junior Supervision Engineer . Applicants
who are already in employment shall have to send their application through
proper channel, otherwise their applications will not be considered.
The
Procuring Entity reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the RFA
without assigning any reason whatsoever.
