Subject:
Invitation for Expression Of Interest (EOl) for providing services of technical support staff
under the Bangladesh Agricultural Infrastructure
Development Program.
1.
The Government of Bangladesh
has received a grant from the United States Agency for International
Development (USAID) towards the cost of the Bangladesh
Agricultural Infrastructure Development Program (BAIDP)implemented by the Local Government
Engineering Department (LGED)and it intends to apply part of the GOB share for the
payments under the contract for Support Services as stated below:

2. The BAIDP will undertake implementation of about 140
km rural roads, 40 Nos of Markets, 80 Nos of Collection Centres & 2000
hectors of Irrigation & Drainage facilities located in 20 Districts at
South-West part of Bangladesh.
3. The objective of the project is to improve (i)
Vertical Infrastructure like markets and Collection Centres (ii) Horizontal
infrastructure like roads, irrigation and drainage system. The Infrastructure
activities to be implemented are expected farmers access to markets and improve
water management at the farm level. These activates are also expected to strengthen the selected food (e.g,
horticulture, aquaculture) and non-food (e.g. jute, coconut coir) commodity value
chains promoted through other projects. Selected Ag-infra activities will link
markets of the commodity value chains to the major production areas of the
commodities.
4.
A
firm/company will be selected for deploying outsourcing staff mentioned above.
One company/ firm may associate with other firms/companies to enhance their
qualifications.
5. The Local Government Engineering Department
now invites eligible applicants to indicate their interests in providing the
services. Interested firms/companies are invited to provide following
information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services:

of similar and other assignments
3.
Availability
of appropriate staff
4.
Financial
& Technical capability
5.
Turnover
(Last 5 years)
6.
Logistic
support etc.
6. The EOI shall be evaluated based on the above
information for short listing. Then the short-listed Firms/Companies will be
subsequently requested to submit Technical and Financial proposals.
Firm/Company will be selected through Fixed Budget Selection (FBS) method and
in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules, 2008.
7.
The Undersigned will not be responsible
for any cost or expenses incurred in connection with the preparation or
delivery of the EOI and visit to any office or site whatsoever.
8. A
Firm/Company can submit only one EOI.
9.
Interested Firm/Company may obtain
further information at the address below during office hours.
10.
EOI should be submitted on or before 15/01/2015,
up to 1.00 pm in sealed envelope delivered to the Project Director, BAIDP,
LGED Bhaban (Level-12), Agargaon,
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh.
11.
The procuring entity reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOIs
without assigning any reason whatsoever.
