Local Government Engineering
Department (LGED) under the ministry of Local Government, Rural Development
& Co-operatives has been implementing 677.00m long Pre-stressed Girder
Bridge over Andhermanik river from the GOB funded project “Construction of
668.00m long Pre-stressed Girder bridge over Baro Baliatali Andhermanik river
on Kalapara-Baliatali-Gangamoti road under Kalapara Upazila in Patuakhali
District” (Project Code: 3700-3731-5102). As a part of the project cost, for supervision,
monitoring & Quality Control of Bridge construction, the Project Director
intends to apply a part of component by hiring 01 (one) Individual Consultant
(Time Based).

Educational Qualification ·
B.Sc. in Civil
Engineering from any reputed University; b)
Experience & Adequacy for the assignment: · Must have working experience of minimum 15 (fifteen) years in the relevant field of assignment i.e. planning,
monitoring, supervision of large PC Girder bridges (Foundation with deep
bored pile, substructures & superstructures), RC Bridges and other
related structures like bank protection works, road protective works and
retaining wall etc.; ·
Should have also
experience in approach road construction works; ·
Should have
knowledge on using standard code of practice i.e. AASHTO, ACI, BNBC etc.; c)
Suitability: • Training in relevant area; • Computer proficiency; • For outstanding candidate the experience criteria
may be relaxed. |
To supervise, monitor, Quality
Control of the construction of 677m long PC Girder bridge structure over Andhermanik river based of hydro-morphological study report,
construction of its Approach & Access Road and also checking & comment
of design of bridges & Culverts, Bank protection work, Road side slope
protection work etc. under the said project in consultation with LGED
officials and other professionals. |
The Project Director,
now invites eligible Applicants to indicate their interest in providing the aforesaid
services. Interested applicants are invited to provide information indicating
that they are qualified to perform detailed TOR and scope of services of the
consultant, application form and CV form including RFA (Request for
Application) will be available in the website: http://www.ccap-bd.net/recruitment.
Applicants may obtain further information and collect the RFA by applying from
the office of the undersigned during normal office hour on all working days on or before 18 December 2016. The
consultant for the above mentioned position will be selected following PPR-2008
and the method of Selection of Individual Consultant (Time Based).
Expression of Interest (One original
and one copy in sealed envelope and be clearly marked “Request for Expression
of Interest (EOI)” for Individual Consultant (National) with name of the post)
along with documentary evidences to support the required criteria shall be
submitted by the applicants to the office of the Project Director, Level-08
LGED Bhaban, LGED HQ, Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207 on or before 19 December 2016 by 2:00 PM. Person who
is already in Government/Autonomous/Private service should submit application
through proper channel. Any application submitted later than the specified date
and time will not be entertained.
The procuring entity reserves the
right to accept or reject any/all EOIs.
