Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI)

For Selection of Individual Consultant

1. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the “Second Chittagong Hill Tracts Rural Development Project (CHTRDP-II): Output-B: Rural Roads Component”,ADB Loan No BAN -2763(SF) and intends to apply a portion of this Loan to eligible payments under the contract for the following individual consultant:

1.	Junior Design Engineer	1	60	B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering	Minimum 03 years	Minimum 03 years of relevant experience in Designof road structures (Bridge, Culverts, etc.).Preference will be given to candidate having working experience in Chittagong Hill Tracts region.

2. The Individual Consultantwill work directly with the Project Director with support from LGED staff in the 3 Hill Districts and Upazila offices ofproject area, and the LGED Headquarters,to achieve the objectives and outputs of the Project.

3. The Consultantshould be conversant with the use computers in producing structural design and drawings using STAADPRO and AutoCAD or other similar designsoftware.

4. The Project Director invites eligible applicants to express their interest to provideabove mentionedservices. Interested consultants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (application alongwith CV, recent passport size photograph,copies of educational certificates, description of similar assignments, specific experience, experience in similar operating condition, availability of appropriate professional qualification and experience).

5. The duration of the assignment is indicated above but depends on their satisfactory performance.

6. Interested consultant may obtain additional background information; required qualification and Term of Reference (TOR) for the above listed position along with a sample of the prescribed ADB bio-data format available free of charge at the office of the undersigned.

7. Expression of interest shall be submitted in sealed envelop, delivered to the address of the undersigned or through e-mail (pdcht@yahoo.com) onor before 30-04-2012 during office hours and be clearly marked “Expressions of interest for the position of Junior Design Engineer”.

8. Only the short listed candidates will be invited for interview.
