	1	Junior Structural Engineer (Bridge). 1(One) Position	Engineering Consultant services to Project Management office. The consultant shall develop & prepare structural design criteria and detail Design of different type Bridges like RCC girder bridge, PC girder bridge, box girder bridge, slab bridge; including foundation, sub-structure & super structure, design of bank protection work ; road site slop protection work , selection of appropriate type of design based on hydro-morphological data & sub-soil investigation report. He / She shall also be responsible for design of other related infrastructures assigned by the authority.
EXPERIENCE, RESOURCES AND DELIVERY CAPACITY REQUIRED
17	Junior Structural Engineer (Bridge). a) Educational Qualification: · B.Sc in Civil Engineering from any reputed University. b) Experience & adequacy for the assignment: · Must have overall working experience of 5 years with at least 3 years working experience in the relevant field of assignment i.e. planning and performing structural analysis and design of RCC & PC bridges (Foundation, substructures & superstructures), RC culverts and other related structures like River bank protection, landing Jetty, road protective works and retaining wall etc. Should also have good knowledge on various types of bridge structural system, Beam/Girder Bridge, Arch Bridge, Rigid Frame Bridge, slab bridge etc. · Should have knowledge on using standard code of practice, i.e AASHTO,ACI,IRC etc.for analysis and structural design of Bridge and other related structure as stated above. · Computer proficiency in structural analysis and Design with the application of appropriate software like STAAT-Pro, ETAPS etc. c) Suitability: · Professional affiliation (mention Reg. No.) with National / International body, Training in relevant area etc . For outstanding Candidate the experience criteria may be relaxed.
18	Other Details: It is expected that the services will be commenced on 1^st June’2011 and shall be completed by 31^st December’2013. Interested consultants are requested to submit their expressions of interest in accordance with the standard Application Forms (PS4, August 2009, Standard Request for Application) which may be obtained from the office of the undersigned during normal office hours (or available in the website: www.cptu.gov.bd. / RFP. AS PX). A complete set of “Request for Application “ including Term of Reference also be obtained from the office of the undersigned.
