16.	Brief Description of the Assignment	Preparation of Detail Structural Design including Estimate, Sub soil investigation, Economic Analysis, Technical Specification and Standard Tender Document of 02 (Two) Nos. bridges under Ppirojpur & Tangail District. List of 02 (Two) bridges.

		·	Length will be finalized upon completion of Hydrological and Morphological Study as well as Digital Topographical survey will be made available to the potential firms.
		Main Assignment
		(a)	Conducting Detail Sub-soil Investigation.
		(b)	Preparation of Details Structural Design of bridges considering.
			(i)	AASHTO LRFD Bridge design specification 2007.
			(ii)	Loading AASHTO ; HL-93.
			(iii)	Bridge Design Standard for LGED.
			(iv)	Navigational Clearance for Vertical and Horizontal shall conform to BIWTA requirement (to be collected from BIWTA for each bridge) .
			(v)	Environmental clearance from DoE shall conform (to be collected from DoE for each bridge).
		(c)	Preparation of design of Approach/Access road, River Training work, Bank Revetment, Lighting of bridge and Drainage system of Approach/Access road if required.
		(d)	Preparation of estimate of Bridge Structures including Approach/Access road, River Training work, Bank Revetment, Lighting of bridge and Drainage system of Approach/Access road if required.
		(e)	Preparation of completed set of Tender Documents for each bridge following PPR-2008 and Standard Tender Document.
		(f)	Preparation of land Acquisition plan if required.
		(g)	Preparation of Technical Specification.
		(h)	Detail design & hand calculation and soft copy of Model Analysis should be submitted.
17.	Required Experience	The EOI shall be submitted along with the following documents
		(a)	Registration of the firm, brochures etc.
		(b)	List of similar nature of completed works during last 5 (five) years including assignment name with brief description/contract date/ completion date & other relevant information.
		(c)	Organizational information, list of professional & general manpower with qualification & experience detail in permanent payroll.
		(d)	Availability of resources & logistics.
		(e)	Turnover of last 05 (five) years.
18.	Other Information	(a)	Consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Rules-2008 (PPR-2008).
		(b)	Interested consulting firms may obtain further information during 09.00AM to 05.00PM excepting Govt. holiday.
		(c)	Final design should be approved by the PD office in collaboration with LGED design unit.
		(d)	Several power point presentation shall be conducted at different key stages of works.
		(e)	Sub-soil investigation sub-contractor/consultant shall be approved by the PD Office.
