For Selection of Consultants (National-Individual)

The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (GOB) has received a Loan for Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP) from ADB & IFAD (Loan No. ADB 2542-BAN (SF) & IFAD BD-786/808). To Support the design of Hydraulic Structure under the project LGED intends to recruit to individual Junior Consultant (Hydraulic structures Design Engineer).

The services, experiences, resources and delivery capacity expected for the position in as follows:-

Junior Consultant (Hydraulic structures Design Engineer).	2 (two)	Bachelor’s degree preferably in Civil Engineering/Water Resources Engineering from a national or internationally recognized University with preferable 5 years experience in hydraulic structure design, should demonstrate high level of computer literacy and software utilization skills, including proven ability to use Finite Element Analysis in the design of hydraulic structures and exposure to STAAD Pro or ETABs or equivalent software and to use AutoCAD.	Undertake detailed design and estimates for hydraulic structures – including drainage channels, embankments, regulators, water conservation structures (fixed crest weirs, rubber dams) gated water retention structures and structures associated with CAD (header tanks, siphons, aqueducts, canals and buried pipe networks)-for subprojects using Project design standards, and finite element analysis where appropriate.

The Project Director, Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP) now invites eligible Applicants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Complete CV with other details as required as per the applications forms (RFA) provided by the undersigned).

A Consultant will be selected using the Individual Consultant Selection (ICS) method in accordance with the Public procurement Rules 2008, issued by the GOB. lt is expected that the services may be commenced on August 2014. Interested Applicants may obtain further information and collect the Request For Application Documents / Forms by applying to the address below during office hours up to 23/07/2014.

Expressions of interest (EOI) shall be submitted by the applicants on or before 23/07/2014 by 1.00pm, in sealed envelope delivered to the undersigned and be clearly marked Request for Expressions of interest for Selection of individual consultant along with the name of the post. Only short listed candidates will be invited for interview.
