INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

16. Brief Description of the Assignment : The main objectives of the consultancy services under the TOR is to conduct environmental issues, review & necessary modification of original bridge planning, structural design and drawings in the light of conformity sub-soil investigation report and final navigational requirements as received from BIWTA along with the modification of Bill of Quantities, review Technical Specification and Tender Documents of 9 (Nine) nos. bridges in compliance with the guidelines of Government of Bangladesh (GOB) in connection with the construction of the above mentioned bridges.

17. Experience, Resources & Delivery

Capacity Required : 1. Background of the firm(s) with general and overall experience including company incorporation certificate, companies’ brochure etc.

2. Firm(s) names (indicate the form of association "joint venture" or "sub - consultancy"; in case of a joint venture indicate the name of the partner in charge, as applicable, address, copy of registration certificate with relevant professional bodies of the concerned government, supported by latest/ up-dated renewal.

3. Availability of appropriate skills among staff in the permanent pay roll of the Firms (list of relevant professional staff, their qualification and experiences).

4. Summary of experiences of the firm(s) in similar works having experience in design of at least 10 numbers of bridges having length more than 300m of each bridge and also experience in RCC Box girder, pre-stressed girder up to 40m in length (completed during last 05 years and currently in progress with total cost of such project cost of Consultancy services, dates of start and completion) and also having experience of at least 03 completed projects on environmental related issues such as. Conduct EIA, prepare EMP, take environment clearance etc.

5. Availability of resources and demonstration of capacity to carry out such assignment: Computers, Design Software’s and related equipment, survey instruments and other logistics, office space etc.

6. Financial capability (Certified balance sheet for last three years) and audit reports, bank solvency certificate of the company.

18. Other Details (if applicable) : The consultant will be engaged with the client for about 12 (Twelve) months.

A Consulting firm will be selected using Fixed Budget method in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulation, 2008.

Interested consultants may obtain further information from the office of the undersigned during normal office hours. A shortlist of firms will be prepared from the expressions of interest for requesting proposals for the assignment.

Submission of EOI should be done in sealed envelope and be clearly marked “Request for Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services (National) of Construction of Important 9 (Nine) nos. Bridges Project.”, the name and address of the applicant, EOI No. & date and be addressed to the authority issued the EOI, in 3 (Three) copies 01 (one) marked as "ORIGINAL" and others as "COPIES".
