Brief Description of Assignment

Hydraulic and Hydrologic Design of Bridge:

Collect relevant, data carryout in-depth analysis and suggest:

· a suitable locations of the proposed bridge;

· Clear opening and length of the proposed bridge;

· Horizontal and vertical clearance of proposed bridge;

· Maximum expected scour levels around abutments and piers of the proposed bridge;

· Alignment of approach road of the proposed bridge;

· Formation level of approach road at proposed bridge abutments and access road;

· Hydraulic design parameters such as annual high and low water levels,

standard high and low water levels, discharge, velocity etc. Hydraulic design

will also consider the possible impact of climate change.

Design of River Training Works (RTW):

· The present erosion and deposition trend at the upstream and downstream

of proposed bridge;

· Future river bank movement at river bends of the proposed bridge;

· Erosion prone areas that need protective measures both upstream and

downstream of proposed bridge;

· Exact Location and extent of required RTW for proposed bridge;

· Type of RTWs such as revetment, spurs, guide bund etc. for proposed bridge;

· Maximum depth of scour and flow velocity at or along the river training work;

· Detailed Design, Technical Specification and Cost Estimate of River Training work.

Experience, Resources & Delivery Capacity Required

The EOIs would be reviewed on the basis of the following

a) Registration of Firm

b) Age of firm (years in relevant business)

c) Availability of key professionals.

d) Turnover of the consultant (financial resources)

e) Experience of the firm in similar tasks/assignments (examples of past experience-similar

nature and/or complexity)

f) Experience of the firm in other works (examples of other experience)

g) Support Service

[ Provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures;

description of similar assignments; experience in similar conditions; financial resources;

availability of appropriate skills among staff; etc.)]
