Request for Expression of Interest (EOI)

for

Senior Supervision Engineer

The government of Bangladesh has undertaken Rural Infrastructure Development Project (IRIDP): Bhola District with a view to improve the communication network to facilitate production and marketing of agricultural and non- agricultural products and socio-economic development of the project area, remove physical bottlenecks and reduce costs of rural transportation and marketing, create both short term and long term employment opportunities. The project has been starting from January 2017 to December 2020.The project covers all 7 Upazilas of Bhola districts namely, Sadar, Borhaunddin, Daulatkhan, Charfashion, Mopura, lalmohon and Tazumuddin.

a) No. of the Post: One

b) Duration of the Service: 30 (Thirty ) months

c) Educational Qualification

Graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

d) Experience & adequacy for the assignment:

· Graduation in civil engineering with at least 10 years of field experience in supervision of road, bridge and market construction works; Experience in supervision of large bridges would be an added qualification.

· Knowledge of carrying out concerned laboratory tests;

· Excellent command over English language including proven analytical reporting capabilities;

· Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Word & Excel.

· Working with government sector is preferable.

e) Suitability:

· Self guided, strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to work independently as a team player under pressure.

· Strong interpersonal communicative skills, experience in team leadership and participatory management.

· Ability to impart training to the LGED/project's staff.

· Experience of working in remote char area.

The Project Director, IRIDP-Bhola, LGED now invites eligible Applicants to apply for the position. Applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (complete CV with other details as required).

A Consultant will be selected using the selection of individual consultant sub-method in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules 2007. It is expected that the services will be commenced on September/2017 and shall be completed on February/2020.

Expressions of Interest shall be submitted on or before 20/07/2017 during office hours in sealed envelope sent to Project Director, Rural Infrastructure Development Project (IRIDP): Bhola District, LGED Bhaban (Level-10), LGED, Dhaka-1207 and be clearly marked “Expressions of Interest for “Senior Supervision Engineer”. Submission through e-mail (the name of the position mentioned in the subject line) will also be accepted provided it is delivered within the deadline.
