The Project Director has been allocated public funds from the Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh (GOB) toward the cost of Selection of Firm for Field Survey & Investigation and Feasibility Study of Rubber Dam Subprojects and intends to apply part of the proceeds of these funds for payments under the contract for providing consultancy services for the project by a national consulting Firm(National)
The Services will comprise of (i) collection of necessary maps of the subproject and surrounding area, (ii) collection of necessary and appropriate hydro meteorological, agricultural, socio-economic and environmental data, (iii) conducting engineering survey of the involved rivers khals etc including plane table and grid point spot GL surveys of structures sites to adequately establish their longitudinal and cross sectional profiles and other important features (iv) conducting analysis of the data and information and conducting detail study on technical, economic and socio-environmental viability of the subprojects, and (vi) presenting all the data analysis and study in comprehensive Feasibility Reports for the 5 (five) individual Rubber Dam subproject illustrated by maps, drawing, tables and charts etc as would be appropriate. The consultant service for the 5(five) Rubber Dam subprojects will be for a period of 1(one) year and will be financed from GOB fund under fixed budget procurement procedure.
The applicant Firm shall have at
least 05(five) years, experience of similar works in water resources sector.
The firm shall have sociologist, agriculturist, environmentalist, and water
resources engineers for field data collection and conducting technical, social
and environmental survey. The Firm shall have adequate capacity to complete the
assignment in due time.
The Project Director now invites eligible Consultant Firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Consultant Firms need to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the Services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar operating conditions, availability of professionals of appropriate qualification and experience, annual turnover of last 5(five) years, TIN and VAT Registration Numbers etc).
An Applicant Firm may associate with other Firms/Consultants to enhance their qualification and capability. Association with foreign firms is not a requirement.
A Consultant Firm will be selected using the appropriate selection sub – method in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulation 2008 issued by the GOB. It is expected the Services will commence in January, 2013 and shall be completed on December, 2013.

Dam “Subprojects” and submitted by 20/11/2012 in sealed envelope delivered to the office of
the Project Director upto 1.00 pm.The
submitted EOls will be opened on the same date at 1.30 pm.
The Project Director reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOIs.
