People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received financing from the World Bank
towards the cost for the Program for
Supporting Rural Bridges (SupRB), and intends to apply part of the proceeds
for consulting services.

Engineering (Civil) with Master’s degree in Transportation/ Highway/
Structural/ Pavement/ Geotechnical Engineering. Contract/ Construction Management
degree will be given preference. |
•Minimum
25 (twenty five) years’ of general experience out of which 20 (twenty) years
of experience in planning, project management and implementation of rural
infrastructure construction and maintenance works. •At
least 5 (five) years’ experience as a TL/PM. Experience of bridge construction
and maintenance project will be given preference. |

20 years of work experience out of which at least 15 years’ experience in
planning, implementation, coordination and management of training programs
including participatory training program, workshops, seminar etc. with a
minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior position on rural/urban
infrastructure development projects. Knowledge of Rural, Urban and Water
sector will be given preference. |

The Local Government Engineering
Department (LGED) now invites eligible
Individual Consultant (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing
the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that
they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
Consultants
are requested to submit the following supporting documents in support of the
above-mentioned criteria.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section
III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement
Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (Revised November 2017) (“Procurement
Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Selection of the abovementioned consultants will follow
the procedures for selecting Individual Consultants described in the “The World
Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, Procurement in Investment
Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July
2016 revised in November 2017”.
Interested Candidates are requested to collect Terms of
Reference (TOR) if required from the office of the undersigned. The
advertisement is also available in the website of LGED.
Further information can be obtained at the address below
during office hours. Expressions of interest must be delivered in a written
form to the address below (in person, or by mail) by 13/01/2019 up to 3:00 PM
(Bangladesh Standard Time).
