1. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the (a) Construction of (i) Pucca Drain-1, (ii) Pucca Drain-2, (iii) Box culver-1 (1V-3.00mx2.75m), (iv) Box Culvert-2 (1Vent 3.00mx3.00m), (v) WMCA Office including Rain Water Harvesting, Electrification, Office Furniture under Chalitabunia Ghatichara Subproject { SP-45168 (ADB)}, Upazila: Mathbaria, Distrct: Pirojpur (b) Construction of WMCA Office including Rain Water Harvesting , Electrification, Office Furniture under Guarekha Subproject {SP-44131 (IFAD-1)} Upazila : Nesarabad, District: Pirojpur

3. Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in those bidding:

· Minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover (AACT) shall be BDT 80.00 (Eight lac) & 20.00 (Twenty lac) in last 3 (three) years.

· Minimum 5(five) years General Construction experience.

· Experience in Similar Contract Individually of at least one contract of value BDT 50.00 (Fifty lac) & 12.00 (Twelve lac) in last 5 (five) years.

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.

4. National competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One Envelop procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

5. To obtain further information, bidders should contract (from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM):

· Write to Office of the (a) Superintending Engineer, LGED Barisal Region, Barisal (b) Executive Engineer, LGED, Pirojpur (Principal) (c) Executive Engineer, LGED, Jhalakati (d) Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Pirojpur (e) Police Super, Pirojpur (f) Project Director, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka (g) Upazila Engineer Office, Mathbaria, Nesarabad, Pirojpur requesting the bidding documents for construction of works mentioned above.

· Pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Pirojpur as mentioned above.

7. Deliver your bid:

· To the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Pirojpur (Principal).

· On or before the deadline: Date: 26.02.2015 at time: 12.00 PM

· Together with a Bid Security in the amount indicated in the bidding documents .

8. Bids will be opened on 26.02.2015 at 12.05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Pirojpur.

9. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
