1. The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP) Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of (i) Box Culvert-1 (2v-2.5m x 2.5m) (ii) Box Culvert-2 (2v-2.5m x 2.5m) (iii) Box Culvert-3 (2v-2.5m x 2.5m) (iv) Box Culvert-4 (2v-2.5m x 2.5m) (v) WMCA Office including Rain Water Harvesting, Electrification, Office Furniture under Bhanderkote-Laxmi khola Subprojcet {SP-45183 (IFAD-2)} Upazila: Batiaghata, District: Khulna.

3. Only eligible bidders meeting the qualification criteria stated in the bidding document, including the following key criteria, may participate in this bidding:

· 3(three) years minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover shall be BDT 70.00 (Seventy) Lakh

· Minimum 5(five) years general construction experience

· Experience in similar individually at least BDT 45(Forty five) Lakh.

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.

4. National competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: one Envelop procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries

6. To inspect or purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

· Write to Office of the (a) Superintending Engineer, LGED, Khulna Region, Khulna. (b) Executive Engineer, LGED, Khulna or (c) Executive Engineer, LGED, Bagerhat or (d) Deputy Commissioner, Khulna or (e) Superintend of Police, Khulna or (f) Project Director, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka or (g) Upazila Engineer, Batiaghata, Dist: Khulna requesting the bidding documents for Construction works as mentioned above.

· Pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Khulna as mentioned above.

7. Deliver your bid:

· to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Khulna.

· on or before the deadline : date: 02 April 2015 at time : 12:00 PM

· together with a Bid Security in the amount indicated in the bidding document

8. Bids will be opened on 02 April 2015 at 12:05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Khulna

9. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
