1. The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has recieved a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB & IFAD-2 member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of WMCA Office including Rain Water Harvesting, Electrification & Office Furniture work under (I) Bottala Subproject {SP-44148 (IFAD-1)}, Upazila: Nalchity, District: Jhalokathi.(II) Ramanathpur Subproject{SP-44138(ADB)}, Upazila: Sadar, District: Jhalokathi. (III) Panchgram Subproject{SP-43070 (ADB)}, Upazila: Nalchity District: Jhalokathi. (IV) Pachim Gopalpur Subproject {SP-44076 (IFAD-1)}, Upazila: Nalchity District: Jhalokathi & (V) Bhabanipur Subproject{SP-44115 (ADB)}, Upazila: Nalchity District: Jhalokathi. Only eligible bidders meeting the Qualifications criteria stated in the bidding document, including the following key criteria, may participate in this bidding:

· 3 (three) years minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover shall be BDT 18.00 (Eighteen) Lakh

· Minimum 5(five) years general construction experience

· Experience in similar contract individually at least BDT 8.00 (Eight) Lakh.

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.

3. National competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: one Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from elligible source countries.

6. To inspect or purchase the bidding doucments in English, eligible bidders should;

· Write to Office of the (a) Executive Engineer, LGED, Jhalokathi or (b) Excutive Engineer, LGED,Barisal or (c) Deputy Commissioner, Jhalokathi (d) Superintendent of Police, Jhalokathi or (e) Project Director, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agorgaon, Dhaka or (f) Upazila Engineer, Sadar & Nalchity. Jhalokathi requesting the bidding documents for Construction works as mentioned above.

· pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer,LGED, Jhalokathi as mentioned above.

· deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents: 05 August 2015, (Office Time).

7. Deliver your bid:

· To the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Jhalokathi.

· on or before the deadline: date: 06 August at time : 12.00PM.

· Together with a Bid Security in the amount indicated in the bidding document.

8. Bids will be opened on 06 August 2015 at 12.05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Jhalokathi.

9. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
