Sealed tenders are hereby invited from the eligible tenderers as defined in the tender documents for the under mentioned works as per terms and conditions stated below:

1. The people’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member Countries.

2. . The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the i) Construction of Pumping plat from and ii) Electrification works under Baliardi CAD Subproject {(SP-25250 (ADB)} Upazila: Bajitpur, District: Kishoreganj.

3. Only Eligible bidders meeting the qualification cirteris stated in the bidding document, including the the following key criteria may participate in this bidding, either as a single entity or in Joint Venture.

· Participation in at least one contract that has been successfully or substantially completed within the last 5 (five) years and that is similar to the proposed works, where the value of the Bidder’s participation exceeds BDT 15.00 (fifteen) lakh. In case of joint venture, one partner must meet the requirement.

· Minimum average annual construction turnover of BDT 30.00 (Thirty lakh, calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last 03 (three) years. In case of joint venture, all partners combined must meet the requirement, each partner must meet 25% of this requirement and one partner must meet 40% of the requirement, Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.

· Complete Qualification criteria area described in the bidding document.

4. National Competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ABD’s Single-Stage : One Envelop procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

5. To obtain further information, bidders should contract (from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM):

6. To inspect or purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should :

· Write to Office of the (a) Executive Engineer, LGED, Kishoreganj, or (b) Executive Engineer, LGED, Netrokona or (c) Deputy Commissioner, Kishoregonj, or (d) Superintend of Police, Kishoregonj or (e) Project Director, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka or (f) Upazila Engineer, Bajitpur, Kishoreganj District requesting the bidding documents for Contruction works as mentioned above.

· Pay a non-refundable fee of BDT 2000.00 (Two thousand ) in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Kishoregonj as mentioned above.

Deliver your bid:

· To the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Kishoregonj.

· On or before the deadline : 07 Feb. 2016 at time : 12.00 Noon

· together with a bid Security in the amount indicated in the bidding document

7. Bids will be opened on 07 Feb. 2016 at 12.05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Kishoregonj.

8. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annual the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specificall, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
