1.             The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

 

2.             The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of (i) Kata Khal Regulator (1V-1.5mx1.8m), (ii) Kata Khal Foot Bridge at Ch. 0+500 Km, (iii) WMCA Office, (iv) Rai, Water Harvesting of WMCA Office, (v) Electrification work of WMCA Office, (vi) Supply of Office Furniture for WMCA Office & (vii) Preparation Tender Document work  under Kata Khal Subproject (SP-42018), Upazila: Mujibnagar, District: Meherpur.

 

3.             Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in this bidding:

·         Minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover (AACT) shall be BDT 77.00 (Seventy seven lakh)  in last 3 (three) years.

·         Minimum 5 (five) years General Construction experience.

·         Experience in Similar Contract Individually of at least one contract of value BDT 44.00 (Forty four lakh) in last 5 (five) years.

·         Liquid Assets in terms of cash/line credit at least BDT 13.00 (Thirteen lakh).

·         Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

·         The bidder should have experienced Construction Manager.

 

4.             To obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents, bidders should contact:

5.             To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

·         write to Office of the Executive engineer, LGED, Meherpur (Principal)/ Executive Engineer, LGED, Chuadanga/Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super, Meherpur/PD, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka/Upazila Engineer Office, Mujibnagar, Meherpur requesting the bidding documents for  Construction of works mentioned above. 

·         pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur as mentioned above.

·         Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents:  09-05-2012, Time: 05:00 PM (Office time).

 

 

6.             Deliver your bid:

·         to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur. (Principal).

·         on or before the deadline: date:  10-05-2012 at time :  12:00 PM.

·         together with a Bid Security of BDT 1,50,000.00 (One  lakh fifty thousand) in favour of Engineer, LGED, Meherpur.

7.             Bids will be opened on 10-05-2012 at 12:05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur.

 

8.             The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
