1. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of (i) Header Tank (6.1mx3.0m), (ii) Burried Pipe Network System (iii) Flow Control Measurement Structure, (iv) WMCA Office(12.0mx6.0m), (v) Electrification work of WMCA Office, (vi) Supply of Office Furniture for WMCA Office & (vii) Rain Water Harvesting of WMCA Office work under Gosinga-Shitalakhya CAD Subproject {SP-41008(IFAD-1)}, Upazila: Sreepur, District: Gazipur.

3. Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in this bidding :

● 3(three) years minimum average annual construction turnover shall be BDT 320.00 Lakh (Three
Hundred and Twenty Lakh)

● Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience.

● Experience in similar contract individually at least BDT 318.00 Lakh (Three Hundred and Eighteen Lakh)

● Liquid Assets in terms of cash/line credit at least BDT 53.00 Lakh (Fifty Three Lakh)

● Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor (2 Nos. each)

must have in its possession either owned or leased.

5. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should :

● Write to Office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Gazipur (Principal)/Executive Engineer, LGED, Dhaka/ Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super, Gazipur/ PD, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka/ Upazila Engineer Office, Sreepur, Gazipur requesting the bidding documents for Construction of works mentioned above.

● Pay a non-refundeble fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Gazipur as mentioned above.

● Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents: 12/09/2012, Time: 05:00PM (Office time).

● Pre-Bid meeting will be held on 27/08/2012 at 11.00 AM to the office of the undersign.

6. Deliver your bid:

● to the office of the Executive Engneer, LGED, Gazipur (Principal)

● on or before the deadline: date : 13/09/2012 at time : 12:00PM

● together with a Bid Security of BDT 16,00,000.00 (Sixteen lakh) in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Gazipur.

7. Bids will be opened on 13/09/2012 at 12:05PM in the office of the Executive Engneer, LGED, Gazipur.

8. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
