1. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of Part(A) 5 Nos. 625mm X 600mm U-Drain (Length=5.0m) Culvert on road & embankment and irrigation Drain (1.00km) Part(B) Construction of O&M Shed connecting HBB road of Ichali Sub-project {(SP-13079 (ADB)}, Upazila: Sadar, District: Jessore.

3. Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in this bidding.

* Average annual construction turnover not less than Taka 60.00 lakh in the last 3 years.

* Minimum 5 (Five) years general construction experience for at least the last 05(Five) years to the bidders submission deadline.

* Minimum Specific experience in similar contract individually of at least one contract within the last 5(Five) years each with a value of at least Taka BDT 17.50 lakh.

* Liquid assets in terms of cash/line credit at least BDT 15.00 lakh.

* Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

* The bidder should have experienced construction manager.

4. To obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents, bidders should contract.

5. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

* Write to Office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Jessore (Principal)/Executive Engineer, LGED, Magura/ Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super,Jessore/ PD, PSSWRSP,LGED, HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka/ Upazila Engineer Office, Sadar, Jessore requesting the bidding documents for Cosntruction of works mentioned above.

* Pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Jessore as mentioned above.

* Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents on or before 05:00 PM dated: 01-01-2013.

6. Deliver your bid:

* To the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Jessore (Principal)

* On or before the Deadline: 02-01-2013 at time: 01.00 PM

* Together with a bid Security of Tk. 88,000.00

7. * Bids will be opened on 01: 05 PM. dated 02-01-2013 in the office of the Excucative Engineer office, LGED, jessore.

8. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annual the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to on tract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
