1.	The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.
2	Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the (1) Construction of (i) Farid Khar Khal Regulator 2V-1.2mX1.5m, (ii)Outlet Structure-1 (1V-0.6m dia), (iii) Outlet Structure-2 (1V-0.9m dia), (iv) Outlet Structure-3 (1V-0.9m dia), (v) Inlet Structure-4 (1V-0.9m dia), (vi) FC Structure-5 (1V-0.9m dia) & (vii) WMCA Office including Rain water harvesting, Electrification, Office Furniture under Ponahura FMD & WC Subproject (Sp-43060(IFAD-1), Upazila Bauphal, District: Patuakhali,. (2) Construction of WMCA Office including Electrification, Office Furniture udner Madhya Purba Rajapur Subproject (SP-43050(ADB), Upazila Bauphal, District: Patuakhali.
3	Only eligible bidders meeting the qualifications criteria stated in the bidding document, inclucting the following key criteria, may participate in this bidding: For package No: LGED/PSSW/PD/ Bauphal/Patua/W-2/2013 (a) 3(three) years minimum average annual construction turnover shall be BDT 106.00 (One Hundred Six) Lakh. (b) Minimum 5(five) years general construction experience. (c) Experience in similar contract individually of at least one contract BDT 80.00 (Eighty) lakh should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents. For package No: LGED/PSSW/PD/ Bauphal/Patua/W-3/2013 (a) 3(three) years minimum average annual construction turnover shall be BDT 21.00 (Twenty-One) Lakh. (b) Minimum 5(five) years general construction experience. (c) Experience in similar contract individually of at least one contract BDT 12.00 (Twelve) lakh should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.
4	Natioal competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single Stage: One Envelop procedure open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

6	To inspect or purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should: - Write to Office of the (a) Executive Engineer, LGED, Patuakhali or (b)Executive Engineer, LGED, Barisal or (c) Deputy Commissioner, Patuakhali or (d) Superintendent of Police, Ptuakhali or (e) Project Director, PSSWRSP, LGED H/Q. RDEC Bhaban, (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka or (f) Upazila Engineer, Bauphal, Patuakhali requesting the bidding documents for construction work as mentioned above. - Pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Patuakhali s mentioned above. - Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents: 11 March 2013, Time 05:00 PM (Office time).
7	Delivery your bid: - To the Office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Patuakhali. - on or before the deadline : Date : 12 March 2013 at time 12:00 PM - together with a Bid Security in the amount indicated in the bidding document.
8	Bids will be opened on 12 March 2013 at 12:05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Patuakhali.
9	The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annual the bidding process and reject all bids at nay time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securiies, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
