1. The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of (i) Hatibandha (HK) Cnal 1,2&3)(Brick),(ii) Construction of Check Gates, Turn outs and precast RCC pipe, (iii) Construction of Foot Bridge Bhangakhan Khal-1 at ch.0+605 km, (iv) Construction of Foot Bridge Bhangakhan Khal-2 at ch.0+357 km,(v) Construction of Foot Bridge Mohespur Khal at ch.0+320 km, (vi) WMCA Office (12.0mx6.0m), (iii) Electrification work of WMCA Office, (iv) Supply of Office Furniture for WMCA Office & (v) Rain Water Harvesting of WMCA Office under Bhangakhan-Nimatpur Subproject (SP-43065) Upazila: Sadar, District: Laxmipur.

3. Only eligible bidders meeting the qualifications criteria stated in the biding documents, including the following key criteria, may participate in this bidding:

· 3 (three) years minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover shall be BDT 112.00 (One hundred twelve) lakh.

· Minimum 5 (five) years General Construction experience.

· Experience in Similar Contract Individually at least BDT 60.00 (Sixty) lakh.

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.

4. National competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One Envelop procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries

· pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Laxmipur as mentioned above.

· deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents: 17-12-2013, Time: 05:00 PM (Office time) and the pre-bid meeting on : 25-11-2013, Time : 11.00 AM..

7. Deliver your bid:

· to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Laxmipur

· on or before the deadline: date: 18-12- 2013 at time : 12:00 PM

· together with a Bid Security in the amount indicated in the bidding document

8. Bids will be opened on 18-12-2013 at 12:05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Laxmipur.

9. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
