1.          The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2.         The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Meherpur invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of Fatapur-Tatultala Khan road at Ch. 0+000km to 0+900km with 25mm BC & 7mm seal coat Katakhali Khan Subproject {SP-21008 (ADB)}, Upazila: Sadar, District: Meherpur.

3.          Only eligible bidders meet the qualifications criteria stated in the bidding documents, including the following key criteria, may  participate in this bidding:

 

§  Average Annual Construction Turnover not less than taka BDT 61.50 lakh in the last 3 Years.

§  Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience for at least the last 5(five) years to the bidders submission deadline.

§  Minimum specific experience in similar contract individually of at least  one contract within the last 5(five) years each with a value of at least Taka  BDT 20.50 (Twenty Point Fifty )  Lakh 

§  Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the Bidding documents.

§  Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

§  The bidder should have experienced construction manager.

 

4.         To obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents, bidders should contact:

5.         To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

§  Write to: (a) Office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur or (b) Executive Engineer, LGED, Chuadanga or (c) Deputy Commissioner, Meherpur or (d) Superintend of Police, Meherpur or (e) Project Director, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka or (f) Upazila Engineer, Sadar, Meherpur requesting the bidding documents for  Construction works mentioned above.

§  Pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur as mentioned above.

§  Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents:  05 February 2014, Time: 05:00 PM (Office time).

6.         Deliver your bid:

§  to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur

§  on or before the deadline: date: 06 February 2014 at time : 12:00 noon

§  together with a Bid Security of Tk. 1,00,000.00

 

7.          Bids will be opened on 12:05 PM dated: 06 February 2014 in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur

 

8.          The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
