1. The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP) Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Enhancement of (A) Shantar khal WRS (Size: 4v-1.5mx2.0m) including 300m approach road at ch.0+150km, (B) Jadurmonir khal WRS (Size: 10v-1.50mx2.3m) at ch.0+200km under Gobadia-Buraburi Subproject (SP-25317), Upazila: Sadar, District: Noakhali.

3. Only eligible bidders meeting the qualification criteria stated in the bidding document, including the following key criteria may participate in this bidding:

· Average annual construction turnover not less than Taka BDT 36.00lakh in the last 3years.

· Minimum 5(five) years general construction experience for at least the last 5(Five) years to the bidders submission deadline.

· Minimum specific experience in similar conctract individually of at least one contract within the last 5(Five) years each with a value of at least Taka BDT 13.00Lack

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the Bidding documents para 2.3.3 in section-3.

5. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

· Write to Office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Noakhali (Principal)/Executive Engineer, LGED, Feni/Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super, Noakhali/PD, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargoan, Dhaka/Upazila Engineer Office, Sadar, Noakhali, requesting the bidding documents for Construction of works mentioned above.

· Pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Noakhali mentioned above

· Approach the above mentioned offices until the bid submission deadline.

6. Deliver your bid

· to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Noakhali (Principal)

· on or before the deadline 09-03-2014 at time: 12:00 Noon

7. Bids will be opened on : 12.05PM dated 09-03-2014 in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Noakhali.

8. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
