1. The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources sector Project (PSSWRSP), Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of (i) Embankment cum road from Kota more-Chitla Battala road by 25mm Dense carpeting at Ch:2+300km to 3+500km & (ii) 02 Nos U-type Drain Culvert at Ch:2+340km & 3+18km on Kota more-Chitla Battala road under Vorvoria Beel Subproject (SP-12105), Upazila-Kalaroa, District-Satkhira.

3. Only eligible bidders meeting the qualifications criteria stated in the bidding document, including the following key criteria, may participate in this bidding.

· Average annual construction turnover not less than Taka 50.00 lakh in the last 3(three) years.

· Minimum 5(five) years general construction experience for at least than last 5(five) years of the bidders submission deadline.

· Minimum specific experience in similar contract individually of at least one contract within the last 5(five) years each with a value of at least Taka BDT 25.00 Lakh.

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the Bidding documents (Section-III).

· Equipments like concrete mixture machine concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession other owner or leased.

4. To obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents, bidders contract.

5. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

· Write to Office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Satkhira (Principal)/Executive Engineer, LGED, Khulna/Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super, Satkhira/PD, PSSWRSP, LGED, HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka/Upazila Engineer Office, Kalaroa, Satkhira requesting the bidding documents for Construction of works mentioned above.

· Pay a non-refundable fee in favour Executive Engineer, LGED, Satkhira as mentioned above.

· Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents on or before 05.00PM date : 01/06/2014.

6. Deliver your bid:

· to the office o the Executive Engineer, LGED, Satkhira (Principal)

· on or before the deadline : 02/06/2014 at time : 12.00 Noon.

· together with a Bid Security of Tk. 1,25,000.00.

7. Bids will be opened on 12.05PM date: 02/06/2014 in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Satkhira.

8. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders in case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly retuned to the Bidders.

9. Tender shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Tender opening and must be accompanied by the Tender security above. Interested Tenders may obtain further information from the office of the under signed and purchase the Tender documents in cash/treasury challan/bank draft from the places mentioned above. The Tender or their authorized representative are allowed to attend the pre-meting and opening of tenders.
