1.     The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) has received a fund from Government of Bangladesh towards the cost for procurement of Two Wheel Vibratory Road Roller. It is intended that this fund will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the supply of the following Goods:

2.     The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) now invites sealed tenders from eligible and qualified tenderers for the supply of the Goods.

 

3.     Interested eligible tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the tender documents at the office of the Superintending Engineer (Urban Management), Local Government Engineering Department (RDEC Bhaban, Level-7, Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207).

 

4.     A pre-tender meeting will be held on 14 March, 2011.at 11.00 am in the Conference Room at Level-7 of    RDEC Bhaban, Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207. Interested tenderers may attend the Pre-tender meeting for any clarification.

 

5.     A complete set of tender documents may be purchased by any interested eligible tenderer on submission of a written application to the above address and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of the above mentioned amount on all working days during normal office hours up to 29 March, 2011.

 

6.     All tenders must be accompanied by a tender security mentioned in Bangladesh Taka in the form of Pay Order/Bank Draft or in the form of irrevocable Bank Guarantee issued by a Scheduled Bank of Bangladesh in favor of the “Superintending Engineer (Urban Management), LGED" and must be delivered in accordance with the Instructions to Tenderers on or before 12:00 hours on 30 March, 2011 at the office of the “Superintending Engineer (Urban Management, RDEC Bhaban (Level-7), Agargaon, Shere Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207.

 

7.     Tenders will be publicly opened in presence of Tenderers or their authorized representatives who choose to attend at 13:00 hours on 30 March, 2011 at the office of the Superintending Engineer (Urban Management).

 

8.     The authority reserves the right to accept any tender, or to accept any part of the tender, or to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof and in such case no compensation will be entertained.
