Request
for Expression of Interest (EOI)
for
Environmental
Impact Assessment and Economic Feasibility Study [National]
The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has
allocated a fund under Development Budget and intends to apply part of the
proceeds for payments under the contracts for Consultancy Services of
Environmental Impact Assessment and Economic Feasibility Study under Feasibility Study for
Important Bridge Construction on Rural Roads.
The objective of this assignment is to assist Local Government Engineering Department
(LGED) to assess Environmental Impact of bridges to be constructed at different
locations over the country and conduct economic viability for the same bridges. The Study will find out the viability
of the bridges to be constructed from economic and environmental perspectives. The
study will also guide
LGED and prepare necessary documentation ensuring compliance
with the policies/guidelines/rules of the Government of Bangladesh (GOB).
The Local Government Engineering Department
(LGED) now invites eligible Consulting Firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their
interests in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide
information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and
relevant experience to perform the Services. The short listing criteria are:
a)
Registration of the firm.
b)
Age of the firm (years in relevant business).
c)
Experience of the firm in similar tasks/assignments (Past experience-
similar nature and/or complexity including cost and duration of the
assignment).
d)
Experience of the firm in other works (Other experience including cost
and duration of the assignment).
e)
Financial resources of the consultant (Turnover of last five years)
f)
Availability of key professionals.
g)
Managerial Strength of the firm (office space, support staff, Logistics,
equipment etc.).
Consultants may
associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, and, if
association, should mention whether the association is in the form of “joint
venture” or “sub-consultancy”. It is preferable to limit the total number of
firms in an association including the Lead Firm to 02 (Two). A consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the Quality and
Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method as per PPA-2006 and PPR-2008.
Minimum 02 (Two) copies of documents (EOI)
should be delivered to the address below in
sealed envelope on or before 20 November, 2017 during office hours and
should be marked as “Expression of Interest (EOI) for Environmental Impact
Assessment and Economic Feasibility Study (Part-3) (Package No. FS/17-18/EE-3).
