Selection of Individual Consultant: 3 (Three) Posts.

The Chief
Engineer, LGED has been allocated public funds from the
Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh (GoB) toward the cost of the
Professional services of LGED, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of
these funds to payments under the contract for the provision of consultancy
services for the project by individual consultant- i) Senior Construction Supervision Engineer,
ii) Junior Plumbing Engineer.
The qualifications and
experience of the Consultants required for the assignment are as follows:
Senior Construction
Supervision Engineer
The primary
objectives of this assignment is a) To improve the LGED capacity to implement
the infrastructure planning and construction management, b) To improve overall
quality of works, c) To disseminate advanced technology to the field
engineers.

the Service: 24 Months
c) Educational
Qualification
· B.Sc in Civil Engineering from any recognized University.
d) Experience
& adequacy for the assignment:
·
Must
have at least 15 years working experience in the relevant field of assignment
i.e. planning, monitoring, supervision
of RCC & PC works (Foundation, substructures & superstructures) should
also have good knowledge on various
Structural Parts of Infrastructure Construction.
e) Suitability:
· Knowledge and experience in Bore Pile and Pre-stressed Concrete Construction work.
· Physical Fitness to carry out intensive field trip through out the country.
· Over seas experience in relevant field of assignment
For outstanding Candidate the experience criteria may be relaxed.
Junior Plumbing Engineer
The objective of the
assignment is to engage consultant for the purpose of design and supervision of
work related to water supply, sanitation, plumbing, waste disposal,
fire-fighting and rainwater harvesting of different Building work designed by
LGED.

c) Educational
Qualification
· Bachelor in Engineering from any recognized University.
d) Experience
& adequacy for the assignment:
· Must have at least 5 years working experience in the relevant field of assignment i.e. Design and supervision of work related to water supply, sanitation, plumbing, waste disposal, fire-fighting and rainwater harvesting of different Building work.
c) Suitability:
· Knowledge and experience of Computer Software on Plumbing design.
· Knowledge on Architectural, Structural design and drawing.
For outstanding Candidate the experience criteria may be relaxed.
The Superintending Engineer
(Design) LGED now invites eligible
Applicants to apply for the positions. Applicants are invited to provide
information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services
(complete CV with other details as required as per the Application Forms).
Consultant will be selected
using the selection of individual consultant sub-method in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules 2008. It is expected that
the services will be commenced on 1st August.
Interested Candidates are
requested to submit their expressions of interest in accordance with the
standard Application Forms (PS4, August 2009, Standard Request for Application)
which may be obtained from the office of the undersigned during normal office
hours. A complete set of “Request for Application” including Term of Reference
may also be obtained from the office of the undersigned.
Expressions of Interest shall be submitted by 2.00 PM on 22/07/2012, in
sealed envelope delivered to Md.
Abul Kalam Azad and be clearly marked “Request for Expressions of Interest for Selection of Individual
Consultant.
The Client reserves the right to accept or reject any/all Expression
of Interest (EOIs).
