Components

Component-1: Improvement of climate-resilient municipal infrastructure

The output of component 1 includes improvement of a) climate and disaster risk reducing infrastructure and b) Local economic infrastructure in stages.

a) Stage-1: Climate and disaster risk reducing infrastructure   

i)  Improvement of Roads

ii) Construction of Bridge/Culvert

iii)Construction of Drainage and Flood Control Structure

iv)Water Supply

v) Sanitation

vi) Solid Waste Management

vii) Cyclone Shelters


viii) Public/Community Toilet

b) Stage-2: Local economic infrastructure   

i)  Markets

ii)  Bus terminals

iii) Boat landings and

iv) Commercially important roads    


         
Component-2: Strengthening of institutional capacity, municipal governance, and community Development

            The output of component 2 is strengthened institutional Capacity, Governance and community development. This component comprises: (i) Non-structural measures to reduce climate and disaster risk, ii) Improvement of municipal governance and service delivery system and iii) Public awareness, behavior change and community mobilization.

Component-3: Project management and administrative support

                   This component is designed to support (i) overall project management, performance monitoring, and reporting, (ii) contract management including capacity development in e-procurement, (iii) quality control of engineering designs and construction supervision, and (iv) compliance with ADB safeguard policies. A project management and supervision consultant firm will be recruited to provide these supports the project, specifically to the Project Management Unit.
