1.
This Invitation for Bids follows the General
Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the “ADB Business
opportunities”.
2.
The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from
the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of City Region Development Project
(CRDP) ADB Loan no. 2695 BAN (SF), and it intends to apply part of the
proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for which this Invitation
for Bid (IFB) is issued.
3.
The Project Director, City Region
Development Project (CRDP), Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) now
invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the
procurement of the following Goods for the purpose of the Project.

4.
National Competitive Bidding will be conducted in
accordance with ADB’s Single – Stage:
One–Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible
source countries mentioned in the Section 8 of the Bidding Document.
5.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further
information from the Project Director, City Region Development Project (CRDP),
Local Government Engineering Department, RDEC Bhaban, Level-4, Agargaon,
Dhaka-1207, Country: BANGLADESH, Telephone

and inspect the bidding documents during normal office hours (from 9:00 AM to
5:00 PM).
6.
A complete set of bidding documents may be
purchased by any interested eligible bidders on the submission of a written
application to the above address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee as
mentioned above only during normal office hours on all working days till 22 April 2012. The Mode of
Payment will be cash or bank draft or Pay order. The document will be sent by surface
mail or courier service. No liability will be accepted for loss or late
delivery.
7.
Bids must be delivered to the address mentioned
above at or before 13:00 hours on 23
April 2012. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security mentioned above in favor of the “Project Director, City Region
Development Project (CRDP), LGED” in the form
of Bank Draft or Pay Order or Bank
Guarantee. Late
Bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders or
his representatives who choose to attend at the address above at 13:30 hours on 23 April 2012.
8.
The City Region Development Project (CRDP), Local Government Engineering Department
(LGED) will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred
by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
9.
In the comparison of
Bids, ADB’s Domestic Preference Scheme will not be applied.
10.
The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be available at
the LGED Web Site (http://www.lged.gov.bd
and www.cptu.gov.bd).
11.
The Local Government Engineering Department
reserves all the rights to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids without
assigning any reasons whatsoever.
