Invitation for Tender for Goods

(Two sets of Fast Computer System and Related Services: One for IWFM, BUET and another for BMD, Dhaka)

The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (GOB) has received a credit/grant for Haor Infrastructure and Livelihood Improvement Project (HILIP)/Climate Adaptation and Livelihood Protection (CALIP) from IFAD’s Adaptation and Smallholder Agriculture Program (ASAP) and the Spanish Food Security Co-financing Facility Trust Fund (ASAP Trust Grant No: G-COFIN-ASP-847A-BD, IFAD LoanNo.I-847-BD, IFAD Grant No. I-C-847-BD & STF Trust Loan No: E-3-BD) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the ASAP trust grant to cover eligible payments under the contract for the provision of supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the following goods with related services:

1. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) now invites sealed tenders from eligible and qualified tenderers for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the said Goods with related services.

2. Interested eligible tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the tender documents at the office of the Project Director-HILIP/CALIP at LGED-RDEC Bhaban, Level-3, Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207.

3. A Pre-tender meeting will be held on 16 August, 2015 at 10.00 AM in the office of the undersigned at LGED-RDEC Bhaban Level-3, Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207. Interested tenderers may attend the Pre-tender meeting for any clarification.

4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased by any interested eligible tenderers on submission of a written application to the above address and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee (mentioned above) on all working days during normal office hours up to 24 August, 2015.

5. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender security mentioned above in the form of Pay Order/Bank Draft or in the form of irrevocable Bank Guarantee issued by a Scheduled Bank of Bangladesh in favor of the "Project Director-Haor Infrastructure Livelihood Improvement Project/Climate Adaptation and Livelihood Protection Subproject, LGED" and must be delivered in accordance with the Instructions to Tenderers on or before 2.30 PM on 25 August, 2015 at the office of the Project Director.

6. Tenders will be publicly opened in presence of Tenderers or their authorized representatives who choose to attend at 3:30 PM on 25 August, 2015 in the office of the undersigned at LGED-RDEC Bhaban (Level-3), Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207.

7. The authority reserves the right to accept any tender or to accept any part of the tender or to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof and in such case no compensation will be entertained.

8. This invitation for tender is available on the website www.lged.gov.bd and www.cptu.gov.bd
