Construction and Completion of BRT Bus Depot at Gazipur

1.                 The People’s Republic of Bangladesh (“the Borrower”) has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Agence Francaise De Development (AFD) towards the cost of “Greater Dhaka Sustainable Urban Transport Project, (BRT Gazipur-Airport)”. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above.  Bidding is open to qualified bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

 

2.             Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of BRT Bus Depot at Gazipur with an intended completion period of 520 days (“the Works”) which includes but not limited to the following:

·         Access Road and Drainage;

·         Rigid pavement parking areas;

·         Administrative and Maintenance Buildings ;

·         Servicing Facilities like bus wash, waste treatment, effluent treatment plant etc. ;

·         Refueling Facilities; etc.

 

3.             International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure.

 

4.             Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the following offices  and inspect the bidding documents during normal office hours (from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm local time) on all working days:

5.             To purchase the Bidding Documents in English, eligible bidders should:

•      Write to address above requesting the bidding documents for “Construction and Completion of BRT Depot at Gazipur”.

•      pay a non-refundable fee of BDT 10,000 (ten thousand Bangladesh taka) or USD 125 (one hundred twenty five US Dollar). The mode of payment will be either in cash or Pay Order in favor of the Project Director, Greater Dhaka Sustainable Urban Transport Project (GDSUTP), LGED Part.

7.             A Pre-bid meeting will be held at the conference room of the office of the Greater Dhaka Sustainable Urban Transport Project (BRT Gazipur-Airport) located at Sector-04, Road # 21, House # 4, Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh on May 11, 2015 at 11.00 A.M. Local time.

 

8.         The Technical Proposals of the Bids will be opened on May 11, 2015 at 3.00 P.M. in the presence of bidders representative who chose to attend at the address mentioned in para-6. The Price Proposals of responsive Bids will be opened in the presence or the Bidder’s authorized representatives who chose to attend at the time and date and at the address to be advised by Employer after approval of the Technical Proposals evaluation by the Employer with concurrence from Asian Development Bank (ADB).
