1.
The Invitation for Bids
follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the
“ADB Business Opportunities”, issue no. 40515
of October 2010.
2. The Government of the People’s Republic of
Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Sustainable
Rural Infrastructure Improvement Project (SRIIP) and it intends to apply part
of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Supply of Desktop Computers, Laptops, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)
and Printers (Contract
Package no. SRIIP/Computers/G04).
3. The Sustainable Rural Infrastructure
Improvement Project (SRIIP), Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) now
invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for supply of the following goods and
its related services.

4. National competitive bidding will be
conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single–Stage:
One-Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source
countries mentioned in the Section 8 of the Bidding Document.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain
further information from Sustainable Rural Infrastructure Improvement Project
(SRIIP), Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) and inspect the Bidding
Document at the address given below from 09:00 to 17:00 hours.
6. The Bidding Document, in the English
language, may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written
application to the address given below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee
of amount of BDT 3,000.00
(Tk. Three Thousand Only). The
methods of payment will be in the form of Pay
Order/Bank Draft/Cash. The
document will be sent by Surface Mail or Courier Service. No liability will be
accepted for loss or late delivery.
7.
Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before 14:00 hours on 23 February 2012, all bids must be accompanied by a Bid
Security of amount of BDT 2,50,000.00 (Tk. Two Lac Fifty Thousand Only). Late
Bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders’ representatives,
who choose to attend at the address below
at 14:15 hours on 23 February
2012.
8. The Sustainable Rural Infrastructure
Improvement Project (SRIIP), Local Government Engineering Department (LGED)
will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in
connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
9. In the comparison of Bids, ADB’s Domestic
Preference Scheme will not be applied.
10. The
Purchaser reserves the right to accept any Bid, or to accept any part of the
Bid, or to reject any or all the Bids without affecting the right of any
unsuccessful bidder to a debriefing and in such case no compensation will be
entertained.
