This
Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project
that appeared in the “ADB Business Opportunities”, issued on 29 August, 2014. |

2. |
The
People’s Republic of Bangladesh
has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of
Third Urban Governance and Infrastructure Improvement (Sector)
Project (UGIIP-III), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of
this loan to payments under the contract for procurement
of 34 (thirty four) nos. Double Cabin Pickup. The eligibility
rules and procedures of the ADB will govern the bidding process. |

Project Director, Third Urban
Governance and Infrastructure Improvement (Sector) Project (UGIIP-III),
Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) now invites sealed Bids
from eligible Bidders for procurement of 34 (thirty four) nos. Double Cabin
Pickup Brief
Description of Goods: (Detail
Technical Specification provided in the bidding documents) 4-wheel drive (4WD) double cabin pickup. It will have hard top, 4
doors, wide radial tire for better road grip, adequate ground clearance. The
vehicle shall have the following features: a) Seating
capacity should be five including driver & all should be front facing and
attached with Carryboy canopy (in built or imported
locally fitted) for rear deck. b) Load
carrying capacity not less than 900 kg. Engine:
a) Power
minimum 75 kw at rated rpm. b) Turbo
diesel engine c) Displacement:
minimum 2400 CC d) Number
of Cylinder: 4 cylinder in line. e) Minimum
16 valves f) Torque:
Minimum 240 N-m at rated rpm. Overall

International
competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single–Stage;
One–Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible
source countries. |

Interested eligible Bidders may

The
Bidding Document, in the English language, may be purchased directly by
interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address above
and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee Tk. 18000.00 or US$
235.00.
The method of payment will be either in pay order or demand draft from any
schedule bank of Bangladesh in favor of the Project Director, Third Urban
Governance and Infrastructure Improvement (Sector) Project (UGIIP-III), Local
Government Engineering Department, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The
document will be sent by: The delivery procedure is usually airmail
for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery. No
liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. |

Bids must be delivered to the
address above on or before at 14:00 hours on 11 February, 2015. All Bids must
be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount as described in the Bidding
Document. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of
the Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at
the address mentioned above at 14:15 pm on 11 February, 2015. |

A pre-bid meeting will be held on 14
January, 2015 at 12.30 PM in the office of the Project Director. |

9. |
The Project Director, Third Urban Governance and Infrastructure
Improvement (Sector) Project (UGIIP-III), Local Government Engineering
Department, will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by
Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids. |
