National Competitive Bidding (NCB)

Notice Number: LGED/PD/CHTRDP-II/NCB-01/2012-2013

1. The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Second Chittagong Hill Tracts Rural Development Project: (CHTRDP-II), ADB Loan no. 2763-BAN (SF) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is issued.

2. The Project Director, Second Chittagong Hill Tracts Rural Development Project (CHTRDP-II), LGED invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the Supply of following Goods.

3. National Competitive Bidding (NCB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document during normal office hours (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) on all working days up to 27-12-2012 from the office of the Project Director at the address given below.

5. Bidding Documents in the English language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders on submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of nonrefundable fees for the package as mentioned above in cash, only during normal office hours (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) on all working days till 30-12-2012.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 31- 12 -2012 at 02:00 PM (Local time). All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security as mentioned above in the form of an unconditional and irrevocable Bank Guarantee/Bank Draft/Pay Order from a reputable bank from Bangladesh in favour of the Project Director, CHTRDP-II, LGED. Late submission of bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened on 31-12 -2012 at 02:15 PM after the deadline in presence of bidder’s representative who chose to attend at the address below.

7. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by the bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.

8. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be available at the Web Sites: www.lged.gov.bd, www.adb.org.

9. The Purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all Bids at any time prior to Contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the Bidders.
