For selection of individual consultant (National)

The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (GOB) has received a credit for Haor Infrastructure and Livelihood Improvement Project (HILIP)) from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Spanish Food Security Co-financing Facility Trust Fund (IFAD Loan No. I-847-BD,IFAD Grant No.I-C-847-BD&TrustLoanNo. E-3-BD) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to cover eligible payments under the contract for the provision of consultancy services for the project by the following individual national consultant.

 

In view of above, the Project intends to engage the same consultant. The services, experience, resources and delivery capacity expected for the position is as follows:-

Bachelor in Civil Engineering with 5 years relevant work experience out of total 10 yearservices. He/she should have experience in quality control, structural design, scheme preparation, BOQpreparation, supervision of civil and labour intensive works. The incumbent must have computer proficiency (MS Office, Auto-Cad etc.)

·         Supervision of infrastructure works. Ensure total quality control of works including the works done by the contractors and LCS. He/She will assist in preparing proper documents and look after the maintenance of infrastructure works for the quality and sustainability.

·         Verification of scheme estimates and assist PMU, DMU& UMU on engineering aspects of village protection works, prioritizing roads, markets, villages and measures required to minimize or mitigate environmentalimpacts

 

The Project Director,Haor Infrastructure and Livelihood Improvement Project (HILIP) now inviteseligible Applicants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Complete CV with other details as required as per the applications forms (RFA) provided by the undersigned).

 

Only one consultant will be selected using the Time-based selection method in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules-2008 (PPR-2008) issued by the GOB. It is expected that the services may be commenced on 30th April2015.

 

Interested applicants may obtain further information and collect the Request ForApplication (RFA) documents / Forms by applying to the address mentioned below during office hours up to 02/03/2015.

 

Expressions of Interest (EOI) shall be submitted by the applicants on or before 03/03/2015 by 2.00pm, in sealed envelope delivered to the undersigned and be clearly marked “Request for Expressions of Interest” for the selection of individual consultantalong with the name of the post. Only short listed applicants will be invited for interview.
