 Request for Application (RFA)

For

Selection of Bridge Engineer

(RFA- 01/2016-2017)

 

LGED has received public funds from the Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh (GOB) toward the cost of “Construction of 950m PC Girder Bridge over Dharola River in Phulbari Upazila of Kurigram District                              (1st Revised)” and intends to apply part of the fund for payments for the consultancy services for the project to be provided by the individual consultant (Bridge Engineer) as below:

a) Intensive supervision and monitoring of construction work.        

b) Checking the quality of construction material and also perform lab test of accomplished work.

c) Provide technical assistance to LGED.

d) Reporting and bill certification (Detail given in ToR).

 Must have minimum 10 years working experience in relevant field i.e supervision of bridge construction etc

Experience in construction/ supervision of PC girder bridges will be considered as additional qualification. (Other criteria as mentioned in the RFA document).

 

 

The Project Director , Construction of 950m PC Girder Bridge over Dharola River in Phulbari Upazila of Kurigram District Project (1st Revised), LGED now invites eligible applicants to apply for the positions mentioned above. Interested applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Complete CV with other details as required as per the Application Forms)

 

Consultants will be selected using the selection of individual consultant sub-method in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules 2008. It is  expected that the services will commence on  1st November’ 2016 and shall continue up to 30th    June’ 2017.

 

Interested applicants are requested to submit their expression of interest in accordance with the request for Application which may be obtained from the office of the undersigned during normal office hours. A complete set of                        “ Request for Application” including Terms of Reference may be obtained from the office of the undersigned.

 

           Request for Application shall be submitted by 2.00 PM on 18.10.2016 in sealed envelope delivered to The Project Director, “Construction of 950m PC Girder Bridge over Dharola River in Phulbari Upazila of Kurigram District                         (1st Revised) Project”, Level-9, LGED Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka-1207 and be clearly marked “Request for Application (RFA) for Selection of Bridge Engineer as Individual Consultant”.
