The Project Director, Disaster Damage Rural Road Improvement Project: 3 Hill Districts, now invites eligible Applicants to indicate their interest in providing the services to review the works of local consultants of a Design Supervision and Management (DSM) consultant firm and share some practices in the hilly terrain.

M. Sc in Civil Engineering/ Geology/ Geo-Morphology.

· To Review the works of local consultants of a Design Supervision and Management (DSM) consultant firm and share some practices in the hilly terrain.

· To provide overall guidance and review the design and other developed solutions of local consultants.(10 different roads, 50 Km)

· To develop a ‘Hill Slope Management Manual’ for the hilly rural roads of Bangladesh.

· Develop total sustainable design solutions (with details design/ drawing/ specification/ BOQ) for five number of roads (ranging from 5km - 25 km; total length 50 km). It will include retaining structures, drainage structures, bio-engineering solutions for erosion control as well as part of total management. The roads are in three Hill Districts.

· Supervise the construction works (top supervision) intermittently physically and on-line whenever possible during the construction works.

· Develop suitable bio-engineering solutions for slope management for hill terrains with low risk, medium risk and high risk as a part of total solution.

· Should have 20(twenty) years of General Experience in related field.

· Should have 10(Ten) years of Specific Experience in in developing total solutions for hill slope management, hill slope and road structures, drainage and cross structures along the road as well as in the terrain and bio-engineering. Should have sufficient reputation to represent himself in this respective field. Should be fit and strong to travel a lot. He should also have excellent academic skill to train practicing engineers regarding hill slope management.
