This invitation for bids (IFB) follows
the General Procurement Notice (GPN) of “Agricultural Support for Smallholders
in South-Western Region of Bangladesh Project” that appeared in Bangladesh Newspaper
on 04 November, 2013 ( Memo no : DAE/ASSSRBP/2013/32 date : 03/11/2013).
1. The government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has
received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) towards the cost of the Agricultural Support
for Smallholders in South-Western Region of Bangladesh Project (ASSSRBP) and it
intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing toward payments under
the contract for which this invitation to bid is issued.
2. The Local Government Engineering
Department (LGED), on behalf of Government of The People’s Republic of
Bangladesh, represented by the Executive Engineer, LGED, district
Barguna now invites sealed bids from eligible and
qualified bidders for:

3. Bidding will be conducted through the
National competitive bidding procedures as specified in Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic
Development Bank Financing May, 2008, and is open to all eligible bidders as
defined in the guidelines.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further
information and inspect the bidding documents from the office of the Executive
Engineer, LGED, district: Barguna

am to 5.00 pm) on week days.
5. Qualification
requirements have been provided in biddings documents.

A pre-bid conference will be held on 27.12.2017
& 11.00am in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, district Barguna The minutes
of which will be distributed to all bidders who will purchase the bid
documents.
7.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased up to office
hours (5.00pm) on 21.01.2018
by interested bidders on the submission
of a written application to (a)The office of the Project Manager, ASSSRBP, LGED
Bhaban (Level-7), 62 West Agargaon,
Dhaka (b) The office of the Deputy Commissioner, District Barguna (c) The office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, districts Patuakhali,(d) The
office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, district: Barguna (e) The office of the Upazila Engineer Upazila Betagi, District : Barguna and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of BDT 2000.00 [Two Thousand] per set. The method of payment for purchasing of bid
document will be in the form of Pay Order/Bank Draft in favor of the Executive
Engineer, LGED, District:Barguna.The bid documents
can either be (a) picked up by the bidder/ bidder’s representatives from the employer’s
office, or (b) sent by the employer to the bidder by e-mail or courier service.
In such cases liability will not be accepted for any loss or late delivery of
bid document to the bidders

Bids must be delivered to (a) office of

& 12.00 Noon. Electronic Bid shall not be permitted. Late bids will be
rejected and returned unopened .Bids will be opened physically in the presence
of the bidders/bidder’s authorized representatives who choose to attend at the
office of the Executive Engineer, LGED , District: Barguna at 3.00pm on 22.01.2018.
9.
All Bids must be accompanied by a bid Security in the amount of BDT 2,25,000.00 [Two Lakh Twenty five Thousand]
and in the form of [ state as in bid data sheet] in favor of the Executive
Engineer, LGED ,district Barguna.
10.A general information regarding the bid will be available
at the LGED website (www.lged.gov.bd)
11.
The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without
assigning any reason.
