1. The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of (i) Modification of Existing Box Culver at Ch. 1+600 km (Khal), (ii) Construction of Box Culvert (1V-4.0mx3.9m) at Ch. 1+300km, (iii) WMCA Office, (iv) Electrification work of WMCA Office, (v) Supply of Office Furniture of WMCA Office and (vi) Tender Preparation Work under Chakgobindapur Aldadpur Khal Subproject {SP-41004 (ADB)}, Upazila: Sadullapur, District: Gaibandha.

3. Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in this bidding:

· best 3 (three) years average annual construction turnover not less than Taka 1,55,00,000.00 in the last 5 years

· Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience.

· Minimum specific experience in similar contract individually of at least one contract of Taka 43,00,000.00

· Liquid assets in terms of cash/line credit at least Taka 25,85,000.00

· Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

· The bidder should have experienced construction manager

5. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

· pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Gaibandha as mentioned above.

· Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents On or before 05:00 PM dated: 12-09-2011.

6. Deliver your bid:

· to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, GAIBANDHA.

· on or before the deadline:13-09-2011 at time : 01:00 PM

· together with a Bid Security of Tk. 1,42,000.00

7. Bids will be opened on 01:05 PM dated 13-09-2011 in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Gaibandha.

8. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
