1.              The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

 

2.              The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the

                 A) Re-construction of 300 mm dia Branch PVC Burried Pipe line (G1G2) at ch. 0.00-900.00m & 300 mm dia Branch PVC Line (B4B5, B3B6 & A2A6) at ch. 0.00-300.00m, 0.00-300m & 298-498m of Dariapur Irrigation Subproject {SP-25288 (ADB)}

 

                 B) Re-construction of main RCC Open Canal from Amtola - Radhunidanga at ch.0.00-1650.00 m, 03 nos. platform & Stair of river side of Noyagola Subproject {SP-22023 (ADB)} &

 

                 C) Re-construction of RCC Open Branch Canal (Br. C-1) from field Office to beltola math at ch. 0.00-900.0 m, RCC Open Branch (Br. C-2) at ch. 0.00-900.0m & RCC Open Branch Canal (Br. C-3) in west side aqueduct near field Office to Sehala math at ch. 0.00-900.0m of Agrani Irrigation (CAD) Subproject {SP-11004 (ADB)}, Upazila: Sadar, District: Chapai Nawabgonj.

 

3.              Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in this bidding:

·         best 3 (three) years average annual construction turnover not less than Taka 2,64,90,600.00, Taka 2,27,68,227.00 & Taka 2,19,78,309.00   in the last 5 years against Package No. LGED/PSSW/PD/ Sadar/Chapai/01/2011, LGED/PSSW/PD/Sadar/Chapai/02/2011 & LGED/PSSW/PD/ Sadar/ Chapai/ 03/ 2011 respectively.

·         Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience.

·         Minimum specific experience in similar contract individually of at least one contract of Taka 71,00,000.00, Taka 61,00,000.00 & Taka 59,00,000.00 against Package No. LGED/PSSW/PD/ Sadar/ Chapai/01/2011, LGED/PSSW/PD/Sadar/Chapai/02/2011 & LGED/PSSW/PD/Sadar/Chapai/03/ 2011 respectively.

·         Liquid assets in terms of cash/ line credit  at least Taka 44,15,100.00 , Taka 37,94,705.00 & Taka 36,63,000.00 against Package No. LGED/PSSW/PD/Sadar/Chapai/01/2011, LGED/PSSW/PD/ Sadar/ Chapai/ 02/ 2011 & LGED/PSSW/PD/ Sadar/Chapai/03/ 2011 respectively.

·         Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

·         The bidder should have experienced construction manager

5.             To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

 

·         write to Office of the Executive engineer, LGED, Chapainawabgonj(Principal)/ Executive engineer, LGED, Rajshahi/ Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super, Chapainawabgonj//PD, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka/Upazila Engineer Office, Sadar, Chapainawabgonj requesting the bidding documents for  Constriction of works mentioned above. 

·         Pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Chapainawabgonj as mentioned above.

·         Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents On or before 05:00 PM dated: 22/11/2011

 

6.             Deliver your bid:

·         to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Chapainawabgonj (Principal)

·         on or before the deadline: 23/11/2011 at time : 01:00 PM

·         together with a Bid Security of Tk. 2,20,000.00 , Tk.1,90,000.00 & Tk.1,85,000.00 against Package No. LGED/ PSSW/PD/Sadar/Chapai/01/2011, LGED/PSSW/PD/Sadar/Chapai/02/2011 & LGED/ PSSW /PD/ Sadar/Chapai/03/ 2011 respectively.

 

7.              Bids will be opened on 01:05 PM dated 23/11/2011 in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Chapainawabgonj.

 

8.              The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
