1.        The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2.        The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of 30 meter Rubber Dam at Ch. 1+700km under Bhelabari-Durgapur Subproject (SP-41006) Upazila: Aditmari, District : Lalmonirhat.

3.        Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in this bidding :

*  3(three) years minimum average annual construction turnover shall be BDT 307.00 Lakh.

*  Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience.

*  Experience in similar contract individually at least BDT 327.00 Lakh.

*  Liquid Assets in terms of cash/line credit at least BDT 52.00 Lakh.

*  Experience of importing any construction materials with a minimum value of BDT 10.00 lakh as contractor, management contractor or subcontractor at least 01(one) contract within the last 5(five) years that have been successfully completed.

4.        To obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents, bidders should contract :

5.        To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should :

*  write to office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Lalmonirhat (Principal)/Executive Engineer, LGED, Rangpur/Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super, Lalmonirhat/PD, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka/Upazila Engineer Office, Aditmari, Lalmonirhat requesting the bidding documents for Construction of works mentioned above.

*  pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Lalmonirhat as mentioned above.

*  Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents : 29/11/2011, Time : 05:00 PM(Office Time).

6.        Deliver your bid :

*  to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Lalmonirhat (Principal).

      *  on or before the deadline : date 30/11/2011 at time : 12:00PM.

*  together with a Bid Security of BDT 8,20,000.00 (Eight lakh twenty thousand ) only in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Lalmonirhat.

7.        Bids will be opened on 30/11/2011 at 12:05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Lalmonirhat.

8.        The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
