1.         The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

 

2.         The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of Pipe Sluice (1v-900mm dia), Replacement of vertical lift gate and flap gate (1v- 1.2mx1.5m), Provision of Fall Board for existing Sildhiajuri Pipe Sluice (1v-900mm dia), Improvement of Road by HBB pavement on Purbo Dumain Mosque to Shildhajuri Road (Embankment along the Botpara Khal & Fuleswari river) (ch. 0+00km to 4+085km) and Const. of Masonry Pillars (6 nos.) to Monitor water levels & operations under Sonatala Subprojects (SP- 13056) Upazila : Modhukhali, District: Faridpur.

3.         Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

·        best 3 (three) years average annual construction turnover not less than Taka 1,35,00,000.00 in last 5 years . 

·        Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience.

·        Minimum specific Experience in similar contract individually of at least one contract of Taka 46,00,000.00 in last 5 years.

·        Liquid assets in terms of cash/line credit at least Taka 23,00,000.00 . 

·        Equipments like Concrete Mixture machine, Concrete Vibrator, Plate Compactor must have in his possession either owned or leased.

·        The bidder should have experienced construction manager.

·        write to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Faridpur (Principal)/ Executive Engineer, LGED, Rajbari./office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super, dist: Faridpur./PD, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka/office of the Upazila Engineer, Upazila: Modhukhali, dist: Faridpur requesting the bidding documents for Construction of Package work mentioned above. 

·        pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, . Faridpur as mentioned above.

·        Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents (25/04/2011 & 5:00 pm) 

 

6.         Deliver your bid:

·        to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Faridpur (Principal)

·        on or before the deadline: (26/04/2011 & 1:00 pm)

·        together with a Bid Security of Tk. 2,50,000.00

7.         Bids will be opened on (26/04/2011 & 1:05 pm, generally 05 minutes after the bid submission) in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Faridpur

 

8.         The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
