1. The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Re-construction of 1850 nos joint (old), 12 nos. (RCC) air vent pipe and constructionof 2160m uPVC pipe 10 nos (UPVC) air vent pipe, 10 nos riser under Agrani-Ghandharbapur Subproject {SP-25233 (ADB)}, Upazila : Sadar, District : Laxmipur.

3. Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in this bidding:

· Best 3 (three) average annual construction turnover not less than Taka 1, 98, 00, 000.00 in the last 5 years.

· Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience

· Minimum specific Experience in similar contract individually at least one contract of Taka 53,00,000.00

· Liquid assets in terms of cash/line credit at least Taka 33,00,000.00

· Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

· The bidder should have experienced construction manager

5. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

· write to Office of the Executive engineer, LGED, Laxmipur (Principal)/ Executive engineer, LGED, Noakhali/Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super, Laxmipur/PD, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka/Upazila Engineer Office, Sadar, Laxmipur requesting the bidding documents for Constriction of works mentioned above.

· pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Laxmipur as mentioned above.

· Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents Date: 19-02-2012, Time: 05:00 PM

6. Deliver your bid:

· to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Laxmipur. (Principal)

· on or before the deadline: date: 20-02-2012 at time : 01:00 PM

· together with a Bid Security of BDT 1,65,000.00

7. Bids will be opened on 1:05 PM dated 20-02-2012 in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Laxmipur.

8. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
