1. The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of WMCA Office including Electrification, Office Furniture & Tender Preparation work under Badrabati Khal (North) Subproject {SP-43037 (IFAD-2)}, Upazila: Tarash, District: Siranganj.

3. Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in this bidding:

· Minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover (AACT) shall be BDT 14.00 (Fourteen lakh) in last 3 (three) years.

· Minimum 5 (five) years General Construction experience.

· Experience in Similar Contract Individually of at least one contract of value BDT 10.00 (Ten lakh) in last 5 (five) years.

· Liquid Assets in terms of cash/line credit at least BDT 3.50 (Three lakh fifty thousand).

· Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

· The bidder should have experienced Construction Manager.

4. To obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents, bidders should contact:

5. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

· write to Office of the Executive engineer, LGED, Sirajgonj (Principal)/ Executive Engineer, LGED, Pabna/Office of the Deputy Commissioner/Police Super, Sirajgonj/PD, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka/Upazila Engineer Office, Tarash, Sirajgonj requesting the bidding documents for Construction of works mentioned above.

· pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Sirajgonj as mentioned above.

· Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents: .07.01.2013., Time: 05:00 PM (Office time).

6. Deliver your bid:

· to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Sirajgonj (Principal).

· on or before the deadline: date: 08.01.2013 at time : 12:00 PM.

· together with a Bid Security of BDT 40,000.00 (Forty thousand) in favour of Engineer, LGED, Sirajgonj.

7. Bids will be opened on 08.01.2013. at 12:05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Sirajgonj.

8. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
