1. The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the 1. Const. of Part (A) RCC Suction Chamber & Platfrom near the Pump point of Chandpara Irrigation Subproject Part (B) 300mm dia PVC buried pipe from the land of Teya alom (outlet) towards the L/O Pakal Hazi Subproject at Ch. 0+524km to 1+424km under Chandpara Subproject {SP-25267(ADB)}, Upazila: Nachole, District: Chapai Nawabganj, 2. 3. Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications may participate in this bidding:

For SL No. 01

· Average Annual Construction Turnover not less than Tk. 60.35 Lakh in the last 3 (three) years.

· Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience for at least the last 5 (five) years to the bidders submission deadline.

· Minimum specific experience in similar contract individually of at least one contract within the last 5 (Five) years each with a value of at least Taka BDT. 23.00 Lakh.

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.

· Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

· The bidder should have experienced construction Manager.

For SL No. 02

· Average Annual Construction Turnover not less than Tk. 54.20 Lakh in the last 3 (three) years.

· Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience for at least the last5 (five) years to the bidders submission deadline.

· Minimum specific experience in similar contract individually of at laest one contract within the last 5 (Five) years each witha value of at least Taka BDT.18.50 Lakh.

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.

· Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

· The bidder should have experienced construction Manager.

For SL No. 03

· Average Annual Construction Turnover not less than Tk. 68.00 Lakh in the last 3 (three) years.

· Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience for at least the last 5 (five) years to the bidders submission deadline.

· Minimum specific experience in similar contract individually of at laest one contract within the last 5 (Five) years each witha value of at least Taka BDT. 23.00 Lakh.

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.

· Equipments like concrete mixture machine, concrete vibrator and plate compactor must have in his possession either owner or leased.

· The bidder should have experienced construction Manager.

5. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

· pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Chapai Nawabganj as mentioned above.

· deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents: 17 September 2013, Time: 05:00 PM (Office time).

6. Deliver your bid:

· to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Chapai Nawabganj.

· on or before the deadline: date: 18 September 2013 at time : 1:00 PM

· together with a Bid Security of 1). Tk. 1,15,00,000.00( One Lac Fifteen Thousand Only), 2) Tk. 90,000.00 (Ninety Thousand Only) & 3) Tk. 1,15,00,000.00( One Lac Fifteen Thousand Only) respectively in the amount indicated in the bidding document

7. Bids will be opened on 18 September 2013 at 1:05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Chapai Nawabganj.

8. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
