1. The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Participatory Small Scale Water Resources Sector Project (PSSWRSP). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from ADB member countries.

2. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of (i) Modification of Existing Culvert-1 (1No.), (ii) Box Culvert (1No.), (iii) HBB Road 1.20Km & (iv) WMCA Office including Electrification, Office Furniture under Harirampur Beel Subproject {SP-44112 (ADB)}, Upazila: Sadar, District: Maherpur.

3. Only eligible bidders meeting the qualifications criteria stated in the bidding document, including the following key criteria, may participate in this bidding:

· 3 (three) years minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover shall be BDT 101.00 (One Hundred One) Lakh

· Minimum 5 (five) years general construction experience

· Experience in similar contract individually at least BDT 60.00 (Sixty) Lakh

· Should fulfill the requirement of financial resources as mentioned in the bidding documents.

4. National competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One Envelop procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries

6. To inspect or purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:

· write to Office of the (a) Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur or (b) Executive Engineer, LGED, Kushtia or (c) Deputy Commissioner, Meherpur or (d) Superintend of Police, Meherpur or (e) Project Director, PSSWRSP, LGED HQ, RDEC Bhaban (Level-5), Agargaon, Dhaka or (f) Superintending Engineer, LGED Jessorei Region, Jessore. (g) Upazila Engineer, Sadar, Meherpur requesting the bidding documents for Construction works as mentioned above.

· pay a non-refundable fee in favour of Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur as mentioned above.

· Deadline for purchasing Bidding Documents: 02 June 2014, Time: 05:00 PM (Office time)

7. Deliver your bid:

· to the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur

· on or before the deadline: date: 03 June 2014 at time : 12:00 PM

· together with a Bid Security in the amount indicated in the bidding document

8. Bids will be opened on 03 June 2014 at 12:05 PM in the office of the Executive Engineer, LGED, Meherpur

9. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. In case of annulment, all bids submitted and specifically, bid securities, shall be promptly returned to the Bidders.
